What we hold, and why.
EventSync keeps the information needed to publish events, take registrations and issue tickets, and no more. This page says exactly what that means, in plain language.

What EventSync is
EventSync is an event publishing and registration platform operated by Ikieguy. Organizers publish public event pages, attendees register for them, and confirmed registrations receive secure digital tickets. This page explains, in plain language, what information the platform holds and why.
What we collect
Account details. When you create an account we store the email address you sign up with and the profile details you choose to add. Accounts are used by organizers to run events and by attendees who want their registrations in one place.
Event content. Organizers publish event titles, descriptions, imagery, session times and ticket types. Published event pages are public by design: that is their purpose.
Registration details. When you register for an event we collect the name and email address for each ticket holder, and an optional phone number if you provide one. These are needed to issue your ticket and to let the organizer know who is attending.
Orders and tickets. We keep a record of each order and each ticket issued from it: which event, which session, which ticket type, and its current status.
Marketing choice. Registration includes an explicit, unticked checkbox asking whether the organizer may contact you about future events. We record the choice you make; leaving it unticked changes nothing about your registration.
Cookies and sessions
EventSync uses cookies to keep you signed in and a small script to remember your light-or-dark theme preference. We do not load third-party analytics, advertising trackers or social pixels on any page.
Payments
Where paid checkout is offered, the charge is processed by Paystack in Ghana cedis, by card or Mobile Money. Card and Mobile Money credentials go to Paystack directly and never touch EventSync's servers; we record only the amount, currency, payment reference and outcome, which is what makes your order and any refund verifiable.
Where paid checkout is not offered for an event, no money changes hands through the platform: free events confirm instantly, and priced tickets can reserve places with the page telling you exactly what happens next.
Ticket links
Your digital ticket is reached through a private link containing an access token. We store only a cryptographic hash of that token (never the token itself), so the full link exists only in your possession. Treat the link like the ticket: anyone you share it with can view it.
Who can see your information
The organizer of an event you register for can see the registration details you submitted for that event. That is what registering means. Our infrastructure provider (Supabase) stores the platform's data on our behalf. We do not sell personal information, and we would disclose it beyond the above only if the law required it.
Retention and your choices
We keep registration and ticket records while the events and accounts they belong to remain active, so tickets stay verifiable. Organizers control the content of their own events. To ask a question about your data or request removal, reach us through Ikieguy at ikieguy.online.
